Methodology
Short version: we read each host's own pricing page, write down what it says, and note the date. If we have not checked something, we say "Not yet checked".
Prices
- Every price comes from the host's own pricing page. We link the page next to each value.
- We record the date we checked it. Right now 19 of 19 priced hosts have a checked starting price. The Docker baseline has no price of its own. It costs whatever your server costs.
- We show the price in the currency the host shows. We do not convert EUR to USD.
- Where an intro price needs a long prepay, we also show the renewal price if the page states it.
- Some pages need a real browser to show prices. We use a headless browser for those. Some sites block automated checks. Those stay "Not yet checked" until we check them by hand.
- We never fill a gap with a guess or a number from a third party blog.
Plan we show
We show the cheapest plan the host lists for n8n. When that plan is too small to run n8n well (under 2 GB of RAM), we show the next plan up and say so in the price note.
n8n versions and patch status
- A script pulls n8n releases and security advisories from the public GitHub API at build time.
- If a host shows the n8n version it runs, we count how many stable releases it is behind.
- If a host only says it updates for you, we mark it "Claims current". We have not measured it yet.
- If you install and update n8n yourself, we mark it "You update".
Errors
Prices change. If you spot a wrong value, tell us and we will recheck it. If you run a host, see claim or correct your listing.
